Scottsdale Zip Code Shows Highest Home Appreciation

Scottsdale remains one of the most desirable residential locations in the Valley, as evidenced by the recently released Arizona Republic home appreciation study.  Scottsdale, with a 42% appreciation rate over the past year, topped nearly every community in the Valley, including Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa and Chandler.  Southern Scottsdale, zip code 85257, showed the highest appreciation rate at 51%, which further evidences that the City’s revitalization efforts in the area are starting to pay off.  A list of improvements, Capital Project Detail by Department, can be found on the City of Scottsdale's website.

The city has recently embarked on a major transportation master plan study, to look holistically at streets, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, and other improvements to the long term needs of the community.  A comprehensive transportation master plan policy document, outlining the goals, objectives, and implementation strategies, will result from this study, and will guide future efforts to improve mobility in the community.

It says, "Scottsdale, with a 42% appreciation rate over the past year, topped nearly every community in the Valley, including Phoenix, Tempe, Mesa and Chandler".

If Scottsdale's appreciation topped NEARLY every Valley city, what city was higher? I'm guessing Gilbert?

I didn't get a chance to read the AZ Republic article, so I'm just curious or thinking out loud or something!

Southern scottsdale has done great. Seems things have settled and gone down a bit now. Not much though. We have had a few listings in south scottsdale and things seem to move in about 3-6 weeks, this used to be 1-6 days just 6 months ago.
